The Apple Didn't Fall Far....

March is such a special month to me.. It's special to me because it's the month that my husband and son were both born. Victor was born 29 years ago on March 5th and Matthew was born 3 years ago on March 2nd. I am so proud of both of them and love them very much.

Victor is a wonderful husband, father, and friend.. He is talented but most importantly loves Jesus.. I can see that my little guy is showing many of the same character traits as His daddy even at a young age..Matthew loves to talk about God, play the guitar, and loves to have fun...the apple didn't fall far from the tree.. and I couldn't be more grateful!

I love these two guys more than I can express in words and am thankful the Lord has given them to me. Happy Birthday to my awesome husband and son!

I Never Knew You...

Recently I've been thinking about Matthew 7:21..It is a very sobering and scary verse to me.. It says " Not everyone who says to me, Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? And then will I declare to them, I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness."

I think it's scary because people are arguing w/ God why they ought to be in heaven with him... It would seem like they did "know" God by the things they were doing....in other words these people are under the impression that they are saved and they are giving their reasons like prophesying, casting out demons, and doing mighty works in His name.. but God is telling them that He "NEVER KNEW THEM"...

Today there are people around who really believe they are saved and would argue maybe something similar to what you read above.... but they are not saved.. they do not know Christ.

I really believe that people who identify themselves as Christians might potentially be they hardest people to reach for Christ because they know so much of His word but they don't really know Him. I pray that those who are deceived would no longer be and they would turn their lives completely to Christ and truly come to an understanding of what it means to KNOW Christ.
